1. What is a cookie?

A cookie is a small file in text format that the websites you visit send to your browser (computer, mobile phone, tablet, etc.) and that enables said websites, among other things, to store and recover information on users’ browsing habits in order to improve the operation and efficiency of the website, facilitate your next visit and make the site more useful to you.

Types of cookies:

  • First-party and third-party cookies, depending on the entity managing the website from which the cookies are sent and the data obtained is processed.

First-party cookies are cookies that are sent to the user’s browser from the website owned and controlled by SERVICANTO, S.L.

Third-party cookies are cookies that are sent to the user’s browser from a website controlled by a third party not SERVICANTO, S.L. Visit the websites of these providers indicated in this policy for more information on how they use cookies.

First-party and third-party cookies enable the website to recognise if you have already accessed it using this browser before, in many cases, vary the content shown.

If you reject the use of all cookies, neither first-party cookies nor third-party cookies will be used. No distinctions will be made between both types of cookies.

  • Persistent and session cookies, depending on the time they remain stored on the user's browser.

persistent cookie is a cookie that is stored on your computer until it expires or you delete it.

On the other hand, a session cookie is deleted as soon as you close the browser.

As well as having the option to accept or reject cookies when you visit our website, as described below, you can also generally accept or reject cookies by modifying your browser settings. For more information, see section 2.
